Do I or my guests need to install anything?

No. evmux runs in Chrome, Edge or Safari. Guests join from a link you send them, from a laptop or a phone, with nothing to download.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan streams and records in 1080p with scenes, apps and up to 12 participants, and does not ask for a credit card.

Can I stream landscape and vertical at the same time?

Yes. One studio can send a 16:9 feed to YouTube and LinkedIn and a 9:16 feed to TikTok, Instagram or Kick at the same time, each with its own layouts.

How is this different from OBS?

OBS is desktop software you install and configure. evmux runs in the browser, hosts your guests, encodes in the cloud and streams to many platforms at once, so your laptop only sends one camera.
